The Product Media industry continues to evolve! XD Connects and Solo, the group behind Solo midocean and SOL’S, are now operating under the umbrella of US investment firm Platinum Equity. <\/p>\n

Two major players, a stronger group and new ambitions. But what impact will this move have on the European market? And, above all, what opportunities will it create for distributors? <\/p>\n

On 11 September 2025, Platinum Equity announced the acquisition of XD Connects, having previously announced its acquisition of Solo. Both transactions were completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. <\/p>\n

XD Connects is known for its innovative promotional products, product development expertise and commitment to sustainability.<\/p>\n

Solo, through Solo midocean and brands such as SOL’S, brings an extensive range of promotional products and textiles, strong logistics expertise and significant customisation capabilities.<\/p>\n

What if this combination changed the game?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ambition is clear: to offer an even more comprehensive product range, strengthen their presence across Europe and support distributors at every stage of their projects.<\/p>\n
